What an incredible singer...! He should release his own album !!
| 1970 (Columbia, LP) First Natonal Nothing is "a rock-theater commune made up of musicians, actors, dancers, singers, designers, writers, composers and friends that started a long, long time ago as a lost tribe in California and has ended up as a theatrical performing group in New York City." (from the back cover description.) He sings 2 songs in this album; "Rosie's Window" (solo) and "Hoodahboo" (chorus, or rather humming). I don't know how to categorize music but "Rosie's..." is a bit soul-ish? funky-ish? song, and his twangy singing is very charming. |

| 1970 (RCA, LP) The Klowns (Produced by Jeff Barry in association with Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus.) A 4-male and 2-female group's Bubblegum and "Love & Peace" Pop album, and Barry Bostwick is the lead. This is actually quite a good pop album! Mr. Bostwick shows his rare talent as a pop singer too, with the ability and colourful voice singing sometimes lyrically dreamy, sometimes irresistibly cute and sweet, and sometimes hardishly cool (and masculine). | I Don't Believe In Magic | ( The Klowns ) | : Produced by Jeff Barry |
| A song that is not included in the album. Unfortunately (well, at least
for me) it's the girls who take the lead, and it's very hard to recoginize Mr. Bostwick's voice which must be featured in the chorus.... By the way, I'm looking for "Flower In My Garden", the last single of the Klowns. Any info will be much appreciated ... !!!! |

I read he had recorded for Capitol Records too by 1971. Does somebody
know what it is..???

1972 Grease Original Broadway Cast Album I haven't seen a Grease stage, so all I can say is that, in terms of music/singing, I like this original cast version much much better than the film version. (In fact, I didn't care for the the film, which means "Grease" itself, but this CD has completely changed my attitude.) It's really great and his Danny is just awesome! I think "All Choked Up" is 1000 times cooler than "You're the One That I Want." |

1977 The Robber Bridegroom 1976 Original Broadway Cast Album Thank you Mr. Bostwick !! We can listen to this great cast album just because you produced it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I didn't know there's a country music musical! I'm not a country fan but this sounds more like folk music to me and I really love it! Mr. B is perfect as a "sexy romantic hero" (or anti-hero? --a bandit and rapist!) and very funny at the same time. He sings so delightfully that it makes you smile too. And this includes not a few dialogue which gives you a tatste of the show (such as very sexy "Deeper In the Woods", "Little Piece of Sugar Cane"). |
| Is he the model...? | Very interesting and provocative analysis on the musical by Mr. Scott Miller |

| 1992 Nick and Nora 1991 Original Broadway Cast Album Here, Mr. Bostwick is full of a middle-aged man's charm! I heard this show wasn't a success (and Ican't imagine why...), but the music is really great and fascinating (a Tony-nomiee)! His vibrato voice is very silky and suits very well the 30's-styled melody. And I love his lighthearted laughter in songs too, which is one of his great charms, I think. I don't listen to this in the morning. If I do, Iwill just want to sit there and be dreamy, relaxed, with a martini in a hand. instead of going to work! By the way, the criminal is Tracy...? |

1996 Annie Get Your Gun First Complete Recording of the Lincoln Center Edition Studio Cast (Barry Bostwick as Frank Butler) Now you can enjoy his full -matured voice singing magnificently those difficult songs! I like his Frank much better than Howard Keele's.And I'm very happy to be able to listen to him singing "There's No Business Like Show Business." This album is also "the professional's choice"! Please read the review ! ("his trademark, relaxed masculinity"-- what a right expression!) |

| 2005 Peter Boyer Ellis Island: The Dream of America Features Barry Bostwick, Blair Brown, Olympia Dukakis, Anne Jackson Bebe Neuwirth, Eli Wallach, Louis Zorich (recorded in 2003) To be honest, I bought this by mistake (sorry!). The actors don't sing in this CD, they are narrators telling immigrants stories. Mr. Bostwick reads "words of Manny Steen", an Irish immigrant, with an Irish accent, and it's very lively and intetresting to hear. With a good booklet describing the background including photos of actors at recording sessions. |
